The Clippers are still struggling to find some consistency as we near the All-Star Break. It’s been about two weeks of going win-loss-win-loss for the Clippers, who are in danger of dropping to the 3-seed in the Western Conference. There’s really no excuse, too. The team is pretty much 100 percent healthy for the first time in a while. So picking up a win over a Celtics team that is underperforming is big. The play of Kawhi Leonard has kept the Clippers afloat; the All-Star averaged 28 points, 7.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists in February.
The Celtics are listing All-Star guard Jaylen Brown as questionable to play against the Clippers due to his lingering knee issue. Boston probably needs this game way more than L.A. The Celtics have strung together two wins and could use the positive note to finish the first half. At 17-17, the Celtics are in a three-way tie in the Eastern Conference standings with the Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors, holding down seeds 5-7.
