The Boston Celtics surprised everyone by ruling out All-Star Jayson Tatum due to an injury on Monday against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Celtics took another L and continue to remain at the bottom of the East playoff picture at 21-22. Kemba Walker also rested on Monday, so the point guard is expected to return tonight vs. the Bucks. With the deadline approaching on Thursday, the Celtics are expected to make a few moves to improve their roster and make a run at a title.
The Bucks are listing All-Star PF Giannis Antetokounmpo as questionable to play Wednesday night vs. the Celtics due to a knee sprain. He was held out of the Bucks’ win over the Indiana Pacers on Monday night. Milwaukee took care of business and has won seven straight, so the team may not be rushing Giannis back into the lineup. Pat Connaughton stepped up big time with 20 points and 9 rebounds in the starting lineup. He could draw another start if Antetokounmpo doesn’t play a second straight game.
