The Sixers are looking to win their fifth straight game. Since Joel Embiid went down with a knee injury, Philly is 6-1, so the team isn’t rushing the All-Star center back. The Sixers decided not to go crazy at the NBA Trade Deadline on Thursday, adding just veteran guard George Hill rather than going all-in for Kyle Lowry. Philly keeps its depth and will get Embiid back in the fold soon.
The Clippers just swept a back-to-back set against the San Antonio Spurs. All-Star SF Kawhi Leonard was held out of Thursday’s game due to a foot injury. The Clips somehow got things done with Paul George and most of the bench in a 98-85 win. It was one of those old school defensive efforts we only see in the ‘90s. The Clippers should get Leonard and Marcus Morris back in the lineup, plus we could see new acquisition PG Rajon Rondo make his team debut after coming over from the Hawks before the deadline.
