Last week, Golden State’s three-game winning streak was snapped by a blowout loss against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Warriors are in danger of dropping from the eighth spot in the Western Conference with a loss. The Warriors lost its first game against Portland by a wide margin but rebounded with a win in their second meeting with the Trail Blazers behind a season-high 62 points from Stephen Curry. Curry could have to go shot for shot with Damian Lillard in round three to give his team a shot on the road.

The Trail Blazers haven’t had two of their best three players for a large chunk of the season but rank fifth in the Western Conference standings. Damian Lillard and Enes Kanter have had to step their games up with CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic out of commission, but so have Gary Trent Jr. and Carmelo Anthony. Portland has found success despite its injury-plagued roster, and abysmal defense has been impressive. Whether it can take control of its season series against the Dubs with a win remains to be seen.
