The Nuggets have won three straight games entering a matchup against the Clippers. We all remember their series from last season’s playoffs, when the Nuggets overcame a 3-1 deficit to advance to the Western Conference Finals. The Nuggets haven’t faced the Clippers since a loss early in the season. Denver is 7.0 games back of first place in the West and just 2.0 games back of the Clips, so this game has playoff position implications.
The Clippers just brought in free agent center DeMarcus Cousins, who is expected to provide some depth behind Ivica Zubac and Serge Ibaka. Paul George will miss a third straight game due to a foot injury. Marcus Morris is dealing with a calf injury and is questionable to play. The Clippers are pretty banged up and need to get healthy to avoid falling too far in the standings.
