The NBA released its 2021-2022 regular season schedule on Friday. We’ve got a look at Milwaukee Bucks’ key games and notable odds with the draft a wrap and free agency mostly behind us.
Honestly, the season couldn’t have ended any better for the Milwaukee Bucks, who won their second-ever NBA title, and their first in 50 years. Their backs were against the wall more than once in the postseason, but they overcame all odds and got the job done. After sweeping Miami in the first round, they lost their first two to the Brooklyn Nets in the conference semifinals, but charged back to win the series in seven games, with the final game ending 115-111 in overtime. The Bucks got past the Hawks 4-2, and then again had their backs against the wall as they went down 2-0 against the Phoenix Suns in the finals. Once again, against all odds, they won the next four straight and were crowned the 2020-21 NBA Champions with Giannis Antetokounmpo taking home the NBA Finals MVP honors.
Nobody expected the Bucks to make any blockbuster moves during the offseason, but free agent PJ Tucker left to sign with the Miami Heat leaving a hole in the team that won the championship last year. The Bucks signed young forward Semi Ojeleye who had spent several seasons with the Celtics in hopes that he can help fill the void left by Tucker, but only time will tell if that will pay off. They also picked up Grayson Allen from Memphis, Rodney Hood from Toronto, and 35-year-old George Hill from the Sixers in hopes of adding value to their team to defend their title next season.
