The NBA unveiled its regular-season schedule on Friday for the 2021-2022 season. The schedule runs from October 19th to April 10. The schedule will feature plenty of quality matchups, but MLK Day is always a special event for the league. The Memphis Grizzlies and Atlanta Hawks are regular participants in this annual celebration for the NBA, honoring the legacy and life of Martin Luther King Jr. This season, the Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks will be joining those two franchises on the floor.
The Bulls made drastic improvements in free agency, adding Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan to a core ready to compete for a playoff spot. They’ll face the up-and-coming Grizzlies, led by Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr.
The Hawks and Bucks meet in a rematch of the Eastern conference finals from a season ago. Both teams are largely the same, although the Hawks added two talented rookies in Jalen Johnson and Sharife Cooper. The Bucks will be without PJ Tucker, but should have Donte DiVincenzo back for this one.
