Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic has reportedly signed a five-year, $207 million extension with the team, but the first payment on that contract might not show on his bank statement.
Still owes me $1700 from cards. Please @CashApp me @luka7doncic https://t.co/7JpPRXszMr

JJ Redick, who was teammates with Doncic for a short while, apparently hustled the Slovenian star for $1,700 in cards and hasn’t been paid yet. Redick, who is currently a free agent, is now asking to be paid.
It’s unclear what game Doncic lost so badly, but $1,700 is no joke. Redick doesn’t really need the money, but the principle of wanting a debt settled outweighs the monetary value.
This tweet is also a great advertisement for CashApp, which has about 36 million active users. That’s not quite at the level of PayPal (north of 280 million) and is lagging behind Venmo (~50 million) and Zelle (86 million potential users). Maybe Doncic can further boost the outreach on the tweet and use the “increase in brand value” to help settle Redick’s debt.
