This coming weekend, free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick is set to take part in a workout that will be open to all 32 NFL teams. The NFL has worked to set it up, with plans on providing tape from the event to all 32 teams. There are serious questions as to how legit this really is given the timing, but it provides an opportunity for teams to consider Kaepernick and potentially push this thing forward.
The event will include measurements, a throwing workout, and a 15-minute interview. The league is closing the whole thing to any media access, so we will likely not get a complete list of who actually attends the event. Kap and his team want to make sure all 32 teams are represented, and according to the report above, the NFL is providing it to them on a rolling basis.
In the meantime, local and national are starting to ask whether or not certain teams will attend. We’ve heard some teams say something on the record and some teams offer anonymous comments to their favored media source. We’ll track all the team rumors in this post over the next few days until the workout happens.
