Free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick will get a chance to perform in front of NFL team personnel officials Saturday afternoon at a Pro Day style workout. Kaepernick’s workout is taking place in Atlanta and gets going at 4:00 p.m. ET. We’ll be providing live updates with any video and photos that pop up on social media.
The NFL wanted the workout closed to the media, and that resulted in a relocation of it. Originally set to take place at the Atlanta Falcons facility, the workout is now taking place at Charles Drew High School. Kaepernick requested media be allowed in and his team also be allowed to film the workout to provide some necessary transparency. The NFL refused his request and so he moved the workout.
There will now be media present, which should result in live updates throughout the afternoon. It remains to be seen if any team will elect to sign Kaepernick out of this, but having media on hand will likely prevent false narratives from being spread by league and team officials.
Follow along here for updates throughout the workout. I’ve embedded a Twitter list at the bottom of media on hand for the workout.

Colin Kaepernick workout a wrap
Kaepernick wrapped up his workout on Saturday late afternoon. His arm strength looked good, and he showed some good touch on passes. The critics will have plenty to say about the context of the workout, but for what these drills can look like, it was all positives. The question now is if anybody will take the next step and bring him in to potentially add to their QB depth chart. Teams would have questions about his skills in going through progressions and dealing with pressure, among other things, but until they show a willingness to consider him as a realistic signing option, they can’t exactly get those answers. It raises the usual questions as to if teams actually have any interest in signing him.
This is just one throw, but this is a legit combination of arm strength and touch that a few quarterbacks currently on NFL rosters would struggle with.

Hue Jackson will no longer be attending the workout
2) Kaepernick's agent invited him to attend the relocated workout (which is more than an hour from the original location) less than an hour before it was due to begin. Jackson, however, is headed back to the airport.
