It was quite the Week 12 for Washington rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins against the Detroit Lions. He completed 13 of 29 passes for 156 yards and an interception, while scrambling for 28 yards. H made a couple key passes and a key scramble in the fourth quarter to set up the game-winning field goal as Washington improved to 2-9.
It turns out Haskins was playing injured during the game. He was spotted in a sling after the game and told the media he played with an injured wrist. He said he was pretty banged up, but said “I’m good” when asked about the severity of the injury.
Washington got the win on the field goal, but a late interception required a victory formation to close out the game. It turns out Haskins was not quite aware of that. He was on the sideline getting a picture with a fan thinking Detroit would run out of time with the ball. When Fabian Moreau intercepted Jeff Driskel, the team sent Case Keenum out to take a knee.
Good learning experience for the rookie!
