It is always wise for a wide receiver to get on his quarterback’s good side if he wants to make sure passes are coming this way. Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver James Washington did just that on his Tuesday off day with new Steelers starting quarterback Devlin Hodges. The man they call “Duck” went with Washington for a little duck hunt. Pun clearly intended.

It looks like Hodges and Washington had a solid haul, capping off what was a pretty good day for Hodges. Head coach Mike Tomlin announced he is the starting quarterback for Week 13, replacing Mason Rudolph. Tomlin wouldn’t commit beyond this week, but he’s likely to stick in the job for at least the next couple weeks.
Diontae Johnson and JuJu Smith-Schuster might need to improve their game if they want to ensure the rookie quarterback looks their way in the coming weeks. James Washington is building that chemistry!
