The New England Patriots apparently did not get their flu shots as requested. 17 players are listed as questionable on their final injury report and nine of them are due to an illness that made its way through the locker room.
The defense and the offensive line seemed to get hit hardest. Offensive linemen Marcus Cannon, Isaiah Wynn, and Jermaine Eluemunor are all listed with the illness. Additionally, safety Patrick chung, linebacker Jamie Collins, cornerback Stephon Gilmore, linebacker Dont’a Hightower, and cornerback JoeJuan Williams are all listed as questionable with an illness. Tight end Ryan Izzo is listed as well, but somehow managed to avoid infecting the rest of the offensive skill position players.
It’s safe to say the Patriots will be downing all sorts of fluids heading into this weekend as they head to Houston.
