The San Francisco 49ers won’t have RB Matt Breida for their matchup vs. the Baltimore Ravens in Week 13 on Sunday. Breida has been out of the lineup since Week 10 vs. the Seattle Seahawks while nursing an ankle injury. He was questionable heading into the game, but was unlikely to play. There’s hope he’ll be able to return 100% healthy next week vs. the New Orleans Saints, but for now we’ll focus on the task at hand.
Fantasy Football Analysis: San Francisco 49ers running backs
The 49ers haven’t really missed a beat since Breida went down in their loss to the Seahawks. Tevin Coleman will continue to work as the featured back with Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. working in to keep defenses on their toes and keep the RBs fresh.
Coleman has the most value given the amount of carries he’s projected for; Coleman has at least double-digit carries in seven of eight games. But that doesn’t mean Mostert and Wilson don’t have some appeal, however, the matchup vs. the Ravens isn’t ideal. Baltimore’s run defense ranks in the top 3. Game script could dictate a high-scoring game, but we also could see the defenses dominate as well. Coleman is the play, with the other two being desperation spots in only deeper leagues.
