The New England Patriots are dealing with an extensive illness on their roster that has ten players listed on the injury report. There are likely other players dealing with more moderate symptoms, and that has resulted in the Patriots going to considerable lengths to quarantine the sick folks. Field Yates is reporting the team took two separate planes to Houston to split off the players who are ill.
With an illness sweeping the locker room this week, the Patriots did something uncommon in traveling to Houston: the team flew in two planes, one to accommodate those who were sick and keep others away from them. Nine players are questionable because of the sickness.

This has been one of the more notable stories this week, and you have to wonder how the sick players will perform on Sunday Night Football against the Houston Texans. If you’re sitting out or limited in practice, that’s a serious illness.
There will likely be plenty of fluids available on the sideline throughout Sunday’s game, but how might a group of weakened players perform? The Patriots are a field goal favorite, but an illness could very well prove to be a great equalizer.
