The 2020 NFL Draft is a little over four months away, and ESPN’s Todd McShay has dropped his first mock draft of the year. Bowl season gets underway in three days, and while a bad performance won’t crush a player’s draft, it is one more piece of data to figure out draft boards.

The consensus right now is that LSU quarterback Joe Burrow is going to go No. 1 to the Cincinnati Bengals. He’s a sizable favorite for the spot at DraftKings Sportsbook, sitting at -250. Ohio State defensive end Chase Young is second at +250, followed by Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert and Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, both at +1200.

McShay has Burrow No. 1 to the Cincinnati Bengals, and has Tagovailoa and Herbert both in the top ten. He mocks Tagovailoa to the Miami Dolphins at No. 4 and Herbert to the Los Angeles Chargers at No. 10.

Chase Young is the first non-QB off the board, going No. 2 to the New York Giants. Burrow/Young is going to be a recurring theme in mock drafts for the foreseeable future. McShay has Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy going third to Washington. McShay has seven Alabama players going in the first round.

Looking through DraftKings Sportsbook’s odds for who might go No. 1, here is where the notable names were mocked in McShay’s draft. Burrow is the easy bet, but there are some intriguing names deeper down the odds list.
