The Dallas Cowboys have a decent chance of making the playoffs as NFC East champions, but the season has been less than stellar. The team is currently 7-7 heading into a key showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles. If Dallas wins, they clinch the NFC East. If they lose, they’ll need a win and an Eagles loss among other things to still win the division.
The up and down season has resulted in Jason Garrett once again appearing on the hot seat. Garrett is regularly on the hot seat, but it appears to be especially toasty in 2019. Jerry Jones has been regularly getting questions about Garrett’s status. He has said he won’t fire him during the season, but has not said Garrett is safe for 2020.
If the Cowboys don’t make the playoffs, Garrett would seemingly be out. If they do make the playoffs at 9-7 or 8-8, Garrett would probably need at least one or two playoff wins to save his job for 2020.
Whatever the case, we’ll be tracking the rumors and news as the season wraps up. Follow along for the constant soap opera that is life with the Dallas Cowboys.
