How to watch and what to watch in Texans-Bucs

Houston looks to lock up AFC South, while Tampa Bay dealing with depleted receiving corps. We provide fantasy football advice, odds info, and how to watch via live online stream.

The Houston Texans are coming off a big win over their division rival, the Tennessee Titans, to take a solid hold on first place in the AFC South. Houston is 9-5 entering Week 16 vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-7), who have actually won five of their past six games to get to .500. The Bucs’ offense, led by QB Jameis Winston, has been playing out of control lately, but will be without WRs Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Scotty Miller this week. That leaves Winston with very few options against the Texans.

Game Time/TV channel/Streaming

Texans-Bucs is a 1:00 p.m. ET start time, so inactives will drop at 11:30 a.m. ET. The game will be televised exclusively on NFL Network and can be streamed on the NFL’s applications and Yahoo! Sports.

Fantasy Football Start/Sit Advice

This game has shootout written all over it. Deshaun Watson and the Texans’ offense has been N’SYNC lately and so has Winston and the Bucs. Even without many WR options on Tampa, I still think they’ll find a way to make it work. The O/U for this game on DK Sportsbook is currently at 49.5, which is highest on the three-game Saturday slate. Because of the injuries to Evans and Godwin, I think we’ll see Breshad Perriman ($6,000 on DK) be very chalky. He could see upward of double-digit targets; we saw what he did last week after Godwin left, six catches, 113 yards, three TDs. I think the Texans will try to establish the run a bit in this game, but Tampa Bay stops the run well. It should be another pass-heavy contest with a lot of fantasy goodness.

Strong Start: QB Jameis Winston, QB Deshaun Watson, WR Breshad Perriman, WR DeAndre Hopkins, RB Duke Johnson (if Carlos Hyde is limited), D/ST Texans

Decent Start: WR Will Fuller, WR Kenny Stills, WR Justin Watson, K Matt Gay, K Ka’imi Fairbairn, RB Carlos Hyde (if healthy), D/ST Buccaneers, RB Dare Ogunbowale

Sit: RB Ronald Jones, RB Peyton Barber

Pick against the spread

I’m going to be honest with you, this seems like a Texans trap game. Houston needs a win to keep first in the AFC South before facing the Titans again in Week 17 with the division on the line. Bill O’Brien is a bad coach. The Houston defense is very shaky and I think the Bucs are hot coming into this one. Tampa Bay has only reputation on the line and honestly I think they’re gunning for a 9-7 finish to the season. Winston looked fine last week without Godwin and Evans, so I don’t think the offense will suffer as much as people think. I’ll take Tampa getting 3.5 points at home.
