The New Orleans Saints host the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card round of the 2020 NFL playoffs. The game is scheduled for Sunday, January 5th, with kickoff set for 1:05 p.m. ET. The game will air on FOX. If the Saints win the game, they will face the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional round. If the Vikings win, they will face the San Francisco 49ers.
The Saints finished the regular season 13-3, clinching the NFC South. They lost out on a first round bye due to a loss to the 49ers and worse conference win percentage compared to the Packers. Had Green Bay not come back against Detroit in Week 17, New Orleans would have earned the No. 2 seed.
The Vikings finished the regular season 10-6 and clinched the NFC’s second wild card berth. They were locked into that spot heading into Week 17, and so they rested numerous starters. Kirk Cousins, Dalvin Cook, and Adam Thielen, among others got a bye week as the team gets ready for the Wild Card round.
New Orleans opened as a 6.5-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, but the line has moved to eight points in the first ten hours. The point total set at 48. The Saints finished the regular season 11-5 against the spread and went over the point total nine times. The Vikings finished the regular season 9-7 ATS and went over the point total nine times as well.
