We now know that the Steelers-Titans game that was to be played this week has been postponed after another Titans player tested positive for Covid-19. Now the question is, when will these two teams be able to get together? Is this turning into a romantic comedy? No, in no way is it doing that.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter believes the most likely scenario is that the Steelers-Ravens game, which was scheduled for Week 7, will be moved to Week 8, when the Ravens and Steelers ‘byes were supposed to happen. The Titans’ bye happens to land in Week 7, so they won’t have to move any games around in this scenario. It’s amazingly neat, but if other situations like this pop up, it’s going to get a lot messier.
The Steelers get the worst end of the deal, as they practiced this week instead of getting a bye and they weren’t the team with positive tests. Steelers tight end Eric Ebron voiced his displeasure on Twitter.
im confused on how this became our problem.. my sons birthday party was bye week now i’m missing his birthday & bad enough I don’t even see my kids. shit sucks.

Of course, everyone knew there would likely be hiccups this season and maybe this one can stop others from happening, as teams might tighten their Covid protocols even more. But venting on Twitter, well, isn’t that what Twitter is for?
In the end, this could just be a blip on a full season of great football or it could be the start of a wildfire of cancellations and rescheduling.
