The Miami Dolphins amassed a 24-0 lead through the first 58 minutes of their Week 6 matchup against the New York Jets and got to get their rookie quarterback some action. Tua Tagovailoa made his NFL debut when Ryan Fitzpatrick checked out after throwing for 191 yards and three scores. The first-year got limited action, but didn’t disappoint.

Tagovailoa was a perfect 2-of-2 passing in his first NFL game and rolled out to his left to complete his first pro pass to Patrick Laird. He completed one more before the Dolphins ran down the clock to secure a second straight victory. He finished with 9 passing yards.

Fitzpatrick is the starter for now, but we could see more of Tagovailoa down the road if Miami’s games have essentially been decided down the stretch.
