Wednesday AM update: The Panthers have not had any further positive tests and are planning to re-open their facility on Wednesday, per Adam Schefter.
Monday PM update: The Panthers have placed offensive lineman Michael Schofield on the Covid-19 injured reserve list. He played five special teams snaps against the Bears on Sunday, per Dan Wiederer.
The Carolina Panthers have shut down their facility on Monday due to an unconfirmed Covid-19 case, per Jonathan Alexander. NFL protocol has any positive followed up by re-testing to confirm the positive or determine if it is a false negative.
The Panthers are scheduled to travel to face the New Orleans Saints in Week 7. The team will remain in a remote environment through Tuesday, according to the team’s Chief Communications Officer. He said the team is still planning on returning for in-person work on Wednesday, but obviously that will depend on how the re-testing and any potential contact tracing goes.
