The Vikings have a positive Covid-19 test late in the week heading into a Week 8 matchup with the Packers. We break down what it means and how the story develops.

Saturday AM update: There were no new positive Covid-19 tests, per Tom Pelissero. The game is on track to play on schedule.

The Minnesota Vikings have had a linebacker test positive for Covid-19, per Adam Schefter. The Vikings are scheduled to face the Green Bay Packers in Week 8.

If further testing has not yet happened, it will to either confirm the positive or determine it to be a false positive. Regardless, the Vikings will wait and see and likely cancel Friday in-person practice depending on what contact tracing tells them.

Testing is happening daily, so this will be something we want to track heading into Saturday and then Sunday. Game postponements around the league have been limited, primarily only happening when we see multiple positives on a team.
