The best game, worst game, and sleeper game to watch in Week 8 of the NFL schedule

We go over the best and worst games on the NFL’s Week 8 schedule ahead of this weekend’s action.

Week 8 of the NFL season is underway and there are bound to be some studs, duds, and diamonds in the rough in this week’s scheduled matchups. We’ve identified one of each ahead of this weekend’s action.

Best game

The Steelers should be in the spotlight again this week. They beat the Titans in a Week 7 shootout and are the only undefeated team in the NFL. They’ll face a Ravens team that’s just gotten even better on defense by adding Yannick Ngakoue to the defensive line. Pittsburgh is no slouch on defense either but will face one of the most dynamic running teams in the NFL.

Both sides have well-rounded defenses capable of shutting opposing offenses down but the Steelers’ talent at wide receiver gives them more options on offense. Pittsburgh will have to topple an NFL powerhouse to improve to 7-0. Accomplishing that feat in M&T Bank Stadium would be impressive.

Worst game

The Chiefs are 19.5 point favorites ahead of their Week 8 matchup against the Jets, who are probably the worst team in the NFL. Kansas City is favored to repeat as champs and should run through the visitors at Arrowhead Stadium. If you want to see a competitive football game this is the matchup you should avoid.

Sleeper game

The Titans and Bengals have both played back-to-back thrillers. Tennessee edged out the Texans in overtime before falling to pull off a comeback against the Steelers in Week 7. Cincinnati has led late in two straight games but choked down the stretch. Both teams are scoring at a high level and the over/under for total points is installed at 53. This could turn out to be one of the most exciting games of the weekend.
