The Houston Texans fell behind early to the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving, but star defensive end J.J. Watt has cleaned things up in a hurry. Late in the first quarter, Watt intercepted a Matthew Stafford pass deep in Detroit territory and ran it back 19 yards for a touchdown. Texans kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn missed the extra point and so the Lions lead 7-6.
Watt entered the game with six pass deflections but no interceptions yet. It’s only the second interception of his career, and it’s notable that he ran the previous one back for an 80 yard touchdown. That came against the Buffalo Bills in 2014.
