The NFL has regularly played a late December Saturday slate of games, and on Monday, the league announced its plans for Week 16. The schedule will feature a tripleheader starting at 1 p.m. ET and airing across NFL Network and live streaming services.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions kick off at 1 p.m. on NFL Network. The San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals get underway at 4:30 p.m. airing via live stream on Twitch and Amazon’s Prime Video. The game will also air on mobile streaming services through the NFL, 49ers, Cardinals and Yahoo! Sports mobile properties, and on local broadcast stations in San Francisco and Phoenix. The day wraps with the Miami Dolphins and Las Vegas Raiders kicking off at 8:15 p.m. on NFL Network.
The Bucs-Lions game will likely feature playoff implications for Tampa Bay while Detroit will probably be playing out the string. The 49ers and Cardinals are in the thick of the NFC West and NFC wild card races, while the Dolphins and Raiders are in a tight battle for AFC wild card berths.
