The New York Jets pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the year in Week 15 by topping the Los Angeles Rams and will host the Cleveland Browns in Week 16. New York is no longer winless but is still battling for the top pick in next year’s NFL Draft. Cleveland, on the other hand, is just one game back from the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North race.
The Jets weren’t particularly explosive on offense against the Rams, as Sam Darnold only threw for 207 yards and a score while Frank Gore tallied a team-high 59 rushing yards on 23 carries. However, they did limit the Rams to 20 points by bottling up both the pass and the run.
Baker Mayfield is lighting teams up through the air and has averaged 324.6 passing yards per game over the last three weeks. Cleveland has one of the most lethal rushing attacks in football so consistency from Mayfield through the air will make them difficult for a Jets team that’s forking up 29.5 points per game to contain. It would be surprising if New York shocked the world for a second straight week.

Fantasy football start/sit advice
Browns
Nick Chubb, RB, $7,800
Chubb totaled fewer than 16 carries for the first time since Week 4 on Sunday and amassed 50 rushing yards with one score. The Browns are favored by 9.5 points n DraftKing Sportsbook and if things get out of hand early expect Chubb to get a bump in touches. He’s gotten less than 17 touches in just two games this season.
Baker Mayfield, QB, $6,100
Mayfield is still relatively affordable despite the hot streak he’s on. The Jets have a middle-of-the-road defense against quarterbacks on DraftKings but have given up the third-most passing yards and third-most passing touchdowns in the NFL this year. Mayfield has dominated much better defenses in recent weeks and shouldn’t slow down.
Jets
Jamison Crowder, WR, $4,500
Crowder has more upside than any other Jets skill player and Cleveland’s poor pass defense could help him rattle off another big game. His six catches for 66 yards against the Rams on Sunday led all Jets and he shouldn’t be challenged nearly as much in this matchup.
Frank Gore, RB, $4,200
Gore unexpectedly scored his second touchdown on the season on Sunday and racked up a season-high 23 carries. New York seems poised to stick with him as its feature back despite having youth behind him. He’ll play most of the Jets’ snaps and could luck out with an easy goal-line score.
