The Minnesota Vikings have placed the franchise tag on defensive back Anthony Harris, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Harris was an undrafted free agent out of Virginia and has played the past four seasons with Minnesota. The franchise tag salary for safeties is expected to be around $12.7 million.

He is coming off a breakout year, racking up six interceptions, including one TD in 14 games in 2019. He combined for 60 tackles, playing mostly safety for the Vikings. Harris was PFF’s top-graded coverage safety and second highest overall graded safety. He ranked second in tackling efficiency, 13th in coverage snaps per reception, and fifth in slot coverage snaps per reception.
