San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch confirmed on Monday the team is looking to trade wide receiver Marquise Goodwin. Reports have been circulating the 49ers were looking to deal the veteran receiver and Lynch used his pre-draft press conference to confirm the news.

Lynch said the team has come close a few times on deals. The Dallas Cowboys have been mentioned as a team that might have some interest in a receiver like Goodwin. That report also mentioned Christian Kirk, and said it could apply to any slot option.

Goodwin struggled with injuries and other issues and only appeared in nine games in 2019. He finished the season with 12 receptions for 186 yards and one touchdown. Goodwin has played in San Francisco for three years, but his numbers peaked in year one. He caught 56 passes for 962 yards and two touchdowns in 2017. He had 23 receptions for 395 yards and four touchdowns in 11 games in 2018 before taking another step back in 2019.
