Miami Dolphins owner, Stephen Ross spoke on CNBC Tuesday morning, saying that he thinks there “definitely will be a football season this year” and the “real question is will there be fans in the stadium,’ per ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe.
Ross went onto say in the interview that the Dolphins organization plans on having fans in the stadium. The drumbeat for NFL games starting on time this year continues. The NFL has never wavered from their timetable, even holding the NFL Draft on time, despite the whole production being via remote. There is plenty of momentum right now, as multiple states continue to give the go ahead to professional sports to get rolling again.
Of course, the possible backlash of opening businesses and easing restrictions could have a backlash in cases for Covid-19, giving the league a new and continuing set up problems. But, there is no-doubt that the NFL will do everything possible to have their product on the field come early September.
