The NFL announced the complete 2020 schedule on Thursday evening, and the Detroit Lions will kick off their 2020 season against the Chicago Bears in Ford Field, which will double as their first divisional game.

Detroit tackled improving its porous secondary this offseason and appears to have made significant upgrades. It moved Darius Slayton to the Philadelphia Eagles and signed Desmond Trufant ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft. It proceeded to select Ohio State’s Jeffery Okudah with the No. 3 pick in the draft to build up its pass defense even more. The Lions also bolstered their offense by adding D’Andre Swift to the backfield. Matthew Stafford’s arm will still be the most important part of the offense, but will improvements elsewhere help Detroit climb from the bottom of the division?

All times listed are Eastern.
