Earlier this week, NFL Network reporter Mike Silver said there is “legitimate interest from at least a couple of teams in Colin Kaepernick. He said there were issues with getting him worked out and through a physical, but said one unidentified head coach said he was “absolutely interested.”
There very well could be interest, but Pro Football Talk is reporting, “no one has reached out to Kaepernick’s camp to gather information or to do anything to suggest that interest exists.”
There is still a month until training camp is scheduled to start, so that leaves plenty of time to sort things out. However, if a team was legitimately interested, one would think they would have made at least some preliminary contact with Kaepernick’s team. Until teams reach out to Kaepernick’s representatives, it’s all talk and hard to believe he’ll be in a team’s training camp if things get underway in late July.
