NFL players are trickling into their team facilities to start Covid-19 testing, including new Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady. Brady was seen arriving at the facility, putting on his mask and walking into the testing trailer.
Players will need to test negative for Covid-19 twice within the first four days of camp before actually interacting with staff and other players. In the downtime, they will work with coaches remotely. That means we won’t see Brady or his teammates on the field practicing for a while.
This will be Brady’s first training camp away from the Patriots, as the 43-year old future Hall of Fame inductee embarks on his final act. Brady and his teammates have been practicing on their own. The lack of a true offseason due to Covid and Brady needing to acclimate to his new team means even with the informal work, Brady and his teammates will likely be behind other, more established teams to start the season.
