NFL training camp is under way and that means news will start flowing from each team. How that news will be distributed in the time of Covid-19 restrictions is still to be seen, but news will get out one way or the other. We’ll take that news and give you our fantasy and betting analysis. And that news and analysis, including roster moves, injuries, all the way to hype videos, will be disseminated right here, on this very page for the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys changed coaches this offseason, which is the biggest news other than them being unable to sign QB Dak Prescott to a new contract. They did grab receiver CeeDee Lamb in the first round of the draft. The talent for their three starting receivers is likely tops in the league now. Prescott will try to use his plethora of options to build on a strong 2019 and squeeze even more money out of Jerry Jones next offseason.
Player News
High fantasy/betting impact
* Cowboys released DT Gerald McCoy with an injury waiver. — August 18
McCoy suffered a season ending injury. His loss hurts, but the Cowboys did add Aldon Smith, who has looked good in camp.
Low fantasy/betting impact
* Signed OT Pace Murphy. — August 18
* Signed DE Everson Griffen, formerly of the Vikings, to a one-year, $6 million contract. — August 12
* K Kai Forbath released — Source — August 1
This is not a shocking development given the team’s signing of Greg Zuerlein, but it removes any competition there might have been at the kicker position.
