NFL training camp is under way and that means news will start flowing from each team. How that news will be distributed in the time of Covid-19 restrictions is still to be seen, but news will get out one way or the other. We’ll take that news and give you our fantasy and betting analysis. And that news and analysis, including roster moves, injuries, all the way to hype videos, will be disseminated right here, on this very page for the Cleveland Browns.
Cleveland upgraded their offensive line with free agent Jack Conklin and first-round pick Jedrick Wills. They lost some depth with opt outs, but their starters should be a big upgrade. They also added reliable tight end Austin Hooper to the mix. After a disappointing 2019, a strong post-hype 2020 season is in the cards.
High fantasy/betting impact
* Jarvis Landry was activated from the PUP list. — August 8
Landry had hip surgery in the offseason and there was some concern he might not be 100 percent for Week 1. But, with him coming off the PUP this early, he should be ready for a full complement of work to start the season.
Low fantasy/betting impact
* The Browns have lost four offensive linemen to opt outs this season.
The losses are to depth players, so there isn’t a big cause for concern, but it could hurt them some in the long run.
* Signed DT Ricky Walker — August 22
* Signed LB Malcolm Smith — August 23
