NFL training camp is under way and that means news will start flowing from each team. How that news will be distributed in the time of Covid-19 restrictions is still to be seen, but news will get out one way or the other. We’ll take that news and give you our fantasy and betting analysis. And that news and analysis, including roster moves, injuries, all the way to hype videos, will be disseminated right here, on this very page for the Seattle Seahawks.
High fantasy/betting impact
* Signed WR Josh Gordon - September 3
Gordon isn’t the force he once was, but he still has some juice left and should be able to help behind Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf. He has yet to be reinstated from his most recent suspension.
* Traded for New York Jets S Jamal Adams and a 2022 fourth-round pick for S Bradley McDougald, a 2021 first and third-round pick, and a 2022 first-round pick. — July 25
Adams is a huge get for the Seahawks defense. They need more than Adams to make them a top defense in the league again, but his presence will make a big impact.
Low fantasy/betting impact
* Signed WR Paul Richardson — August 29
* Signed DT P.J. Johnson — August 18
* Signed free agent running Patrick Carr and wide receiver Seth Dawkins — August 14
Carr is up against Chris Carson, Rashaad Penny, and the newly-signed Carlos Hyde. It’s not likely that he’ll even become a fourth string running back for Seattle. Russell Wilson has his go-to guys at receiver from last season and has gained Phillip Dorsett. It’s hard to see Dawkins establishing himself as a key member of the receiving corps.
Colby Parkinson, TE — August 7
Rashaad Penny, RB — August 3
