The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced the first year nominees for 2020 this week, and on Thursday evening, we got a surprise contributor announcement. During Thursday Night Football, FOX announcer Joe Buck found out at halftime that he will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Buck gets dumped on a lot, but when you hear his voice, you know it’s more often than not a big event. Browns vs. Bengals on TNF early in the season isn’t a huge deal, but we know we’ll hear him every few years at the Super Bowl, in the World Series, and plenty more big games.
Buck is going in as the 2020 Pete Rozelle Radio-Television Award winner. Last year, Dick Ebersol was inducted with that award. Watch below as Buck finds out he is joining his dad in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
