The Kansas City Chiefs are headed to Southern California to face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2, and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid will be back with his face shield. However, there will be a slight twist.

Last week, Reid decided to wear a face shield to provide further protection amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. He had a significant issue though, as the shield was regularly appearing to be fogged up whenever the camera caught a glimpse of him.

For Week 2, Reid is going to wear the shield, but the team has secured a de-fogging product to clean things up, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Chiefs equipment manager Allen Wright acquired a product hockey players use to defog their masks and Reid will be using that with this shield.

The fogged up mask did not seem to create any significant issues for the Chiefs in Week 1, as they rolled to 34-20 win over the Houston Texans. However, cleaning it up will prevent any potential problems, particularly when he is reading his call sheet for plays.
