Complete list of opponents for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2021

We may not be certain of the Eagles’ starting quarterback next season, but we do already have an early look at their 2021 needs and opponents.

The Philadelphia Eagles got off to a horrible start in 2020 but were able to pull things together by inserting Jalen Hurts into the starting lineup. The struggles of Carson Wentz became too much for the birds and his rookie replacement was able to make more out of the talent available.

It looks like Wentz could be headed out the door now that Hurts has won the heart of Philly fans everywhere and the former starter is expected to look into negotiating a trade over the offseason. The Eagles need to build a team that caters to what Hurts can do for the offense.

The Eagles used to have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL but struggled in 2020. Wentz was sacked more than any quarterback in the NFL so something has to be done about Philadelphia’s terrible blocking. Even a mobile quarterback like Hurts needs time. Its injury-prone receiving corps could also use some depth. The Eagles probably won’t draft a linebacker early if Howie Roseman is running the show, but Darius Slay needs help in the secondary.

2021 opponents

The Eagles will face their NFC East divisional opponents six times, half at home and half on the road. In addition, they draw matchups against all four teams from the AFC West and NFC South. The NFL is expected to add a 17th game to the regular-season schedule that will feature an inter-conference matchup with a similarly placed team. The Eagles would face the AFC East.
