The Baltimore Ravens have secured themselves a spot in the NFL Playoffs this season thanks to a late-season push. But even though the team still has work to do on the field, it’s not too soon to take a look at what they could need in the future and to take a look at their 2021 opponents.
The biggest need Baltimore could face is on the edge. While they were solid there this season, the team has four edge rushers slated to hit the free agency market once the season ends. It’s unlikely they retain all four, if any, so it’s probably a safe bet that they’ll target a young player in the draft to fill that need.
The Ravens could also see an upgrade in the offensive line, which has struggled at times this year. With how run-heavy the team’s philosophy is with Lamar Jackson and JK Dobbins, they need to sure up their OL to make a run at the Super Bowl next season.
2021 opponents
The Ravens will face their AFC North divisional opponents six times, half at home and half on the road. In addition, they draw matchups against all for teams from the AFC West and NFC North. The NFL is expected to add a 17th game to the regular-season schedule that will feature an inter-conference matchup with a similarly placed team. The Ravens would face the NFC West.
