Final Jeopardy contestant trolls Aaron Rodgers on Packers field goal attempt

The Packers’ decision to kick a field goal in a critical moment of the 2021 NFC Championship Game has now been trolled on Jeopardy!

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is serving as a guest host on Jeopardy this week, and he can’t avoid the trolls even among the smartest people in America.

There’s some early video of a contestant going right at the Packers with his Final Jeopardy response. It would appear he did not know the answer to the question, or just really wanted to call out the Packers, but either way, it resulted in a spectacular trolling.

If you don’t remember, this is related to this past January’s playoffs. The Packers trailed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-23 in the fourth quarter of the NFC Championship Game. With 2:05 remaining, the Packers had a 4th and goal at the Bucs 8-yard line and head coach Matt LaFleur elected to kick a field goal. It cut the lead to 31-26, but the Packers could not get a stop and never touched the ball again.

You could make the argument the decision was more complicated than it seemed, but this is a play-call that Packers fans will not be forgetting for a long time.
