Full list of SNF games in the 2021 NFL season

We take a look at the full list of primetime Sunday Night Football games on the 2021 NFL schedule following its release on Wednesday, May 12th.

Will the 49ers be near the top of the NFC West?

The Sunday Night Football slate is the most prized night of TV for the NFL, as it oftentimes will feature the best game of the weekend. These matchups are not set in stone as the league can use flex scheduling later in the season to make sure the most compelling matchups possible can appear on SNF. The Week 18 game is not even listed yet as the NFL usually always waits for the final week to choose the final game of the regular season.

Best Games

There are too many to pick from, but the one that jumps right off the page is Week 4 when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers travel to take on the New England Patriots. Tom Brady won Year 1 of the divorce, but Bill Belichick seems hungry for a turnaround season based on his offseason moves throughout the roster.

The week after should be an exciting game to watch as well with the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Buffalo Bills. Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen could develop into a Tom Brady-Peyton Manning rivalry at some point with how young and talented they are, and they both figure to be playoff teams for years to come.

Worst Games

It’s tough to find too many duds in this entire slate, but certainly if Aaron Rodgers is not on the Green Bay Packers, their three Sunday Night Football games sure became less interesting. To pick a game, let’s go with the Indianapolis Colts traveling to play the San Francisco 49ers. This is potentially a game featuring Jimmy Garoppolo and Carson Wentz as the starting quarterbacks. We can do better than that in just about every other Sunday Night Football game.
