What channel Chargers vs. Rams is on, how to watch it via live stream, what time it starts

The LA Chargers and LA Rams are facing off for Week 1 of the 2021 NFL preseason, airing on local television. We break down how to watch the matchup, particularly if you’re outside the broadcast region.

Will Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp have instant chemistry in LA?

The Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams meet up in Week 1 of the 2021 NFL preseason at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California — home to both NFL teams. Kickoff is set for 10:00 p.m. ET and the game will air on CBS 2 in the Chargers market and ABC 7 in the Rams market. Given that this is the preseason, we’ll see plenty of unknown and lesser known faces on the rosters. To keep track of who you’re watching checking out the Chargers roster and the Rams roster.

The game is on NFL Network as well. You can stream NFL Network but you will need a cable log-in. If you don’t have one, you can get a free trial from YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV to stream the channel.

Additionally if you are not in the Dolphins or Bears markets, you can view this game via live online stream through NFL Game Pass. If you are not planning on watching every week of the preseason, the service offers a free seven-day trial.

The Rams fell short in the divisional round of the playoffs after finishing the regular season at 10-6 in 2020, and they’ve made some major changes in the offseason. In a rare starting quarterback swap, the Rams traded away Jared Goff and brought in Matthew Stafford in a win-now move. The Chargers started 3-9 last year and won the last four games and appear to be set up for success moving forward with Justin Herbert as the quarterback of the future.

The Chargers are a 3-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook and -180 on the moneyline. The Rams are a +155 moneyline underdog. The point total is installed at 32.5.
