The Eagles lost to the Steelers 24-16 in their first preseason game, but the big revelation for Philadelphia was WR Quez Watkins. The speedster broke off a 79-yard touchdown run and will compete for the No. 3 role. QB Jalen Hurts should get more reps in this game and he may even have WR DeVonta Smith back after the receiver returned to practice.

The Patriots beat the Washington Football Team 22-13 in the preseason opener, but neither Cam Newton nor Mac Jones really broke out in the quarterback competition. The big story in this one was RB Rhamondre Stevenson, who has emerged as a potential competitor to Damien Harris. New England will likely give Newton more run in the second preseason game, although Jones will still take a bulk of the snaps.

The Patriots are a 1-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook and -125 on the moneyline. The Eagles are a +105 moneyline underdog. The point total is installed at 38.5 with the over and under evenly priced at -110.
