The Las Vegas Raiders will be without their general manager in person for the near future. Mike Mayock tested positive for COVID-19 and is going to work from home while quarantining, per Adam Schefter. Mayock is vaccinated but said he feels “very good,” which would suggest he’s got light or no symptoms.
The CDC issued updated guidance on July 27th, stating that if you are vaccinated against COVID-19 and test positive, you should isolate for 10 days. However, the NFL offers a different protocol for vaccinated players and staff. All vaccinated players or staff who test positive and are asymptomatic can return to duty after two negative tests 24 hours apart, per the NFL.
