Two Matt Prater field goals at in the last two minutes of gametime doomed the Cowboys to a 19-16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals last Friday, something that will for sure be spotlighted in a later episode of Hard Knocks. With Dak Prescott obviously out, Cooper Rush, Garrett Gilbert, and Ben DiNucci shared the reps at quarterback for the night, combining for 215 yards and a touchdown. Dallas also had plenty of players check in at running back and receiver for the exhibition while their normal starters sat.
The Texans notched a 26-7 win at the Green Bay Packers last Saturday thanks in huge part to turnovers. Defensive tackle Jaleel Johnson recovered two fumbles himself while Tremon Smith came away with an interception on the evening. Offensively, running backs Scottie Phillips and Darius Jackson accounted for both touchdowns.
