Preseason records don’t get much attention, understandably so, but the Baltimore Ravens are going for their record 19th exhibition win in a row this week. Meaningless games aside, it would be an impressive number to reach. They’ll be on the road to play the Carolina Panthers on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. ET. Below is a look at the latest information on who will suit up for each team on Saturday afternoon.
Sam Darnold is expected to make his preseason debut with the Panthers this week. He did not play in Carolina’s preseason opener. The Ravens kept Lamar Jackson out of action last week too. He may sit out again in this one.
Christian McCaffrey has been tearing it up in practice with the Panthers. He sat out last week’s game, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the team keep limit the veteran throughout the exhibition slate. Rookie Chuba Hubbard should see most of the work with Carolina’s starters.
The Ravens welcomed Gus Edwards back to practice this week. J.K. Dobbins played all the snaps with the starters last week.
Panthers receiver D.J. Moore left practice with a stiff back on Thursday. Don’t be surprised if he doesn’t play in this one. Moore and Robby Anderson didn’t play last week, which gave rookie Terrance Marshall plenty of snaps to impress.
Sammy Watkins was back at practice this week with the Ravens. Rashod Bateman is out until next month with a groin injury. Marquise Brown was doing conditioning work in practice this week.
Mark Andrews collapsed at practice on Thursday. The Ravens tight end was dealing with cramps, but not much else was known about the issue at the time. He did avoid a trip to the hospital.
