The 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, haven’t even started and yet, Team USA basketball is under major heat early on in exhibition play. Chances are things will be sorted out before their opener vs. France at 8 a.m. ET on Sunday, July 25. Still, it’s create a shroud of doubt surrounding the favorite to take home the gold medal despite a roster that is completely stacked. Team USA basketball will send superstars Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, Bradley Beal and Jayson Tatum to Tokyo to compete (and that’s just a few of the All-Star names playing).
The United States will open up the tourney against France, which has a slew of NBA players representing. France is anchored by reigning defensive player of the year Rudy Gobert down low. The French also have SG Evan Fournier, F Nicolas Batum, G/F Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and PG Frank Ntilikina. So while the U.S. still has an overwhelming advantage on its roster, France won’t be an easy out, particularly after watching how Team USA has performed in exhibition play.
Anyway, DraftKings Sportsbook has odds posted for the opener between Team USA and France. Let’s take a look.
Team USA vs. France odds, Sunday, July 25
