Team USA: Athlete’s to watch on Friday’s Olympics events

We review which athletes from Team USA to keep your eye on in Friday’s events at the 2021 Tokyo Summer Olympics.

The Opening Ceremony will get things started in the morning on Friday, July 23rd and after that, a few of the top Team USA athletes will compete in their events. Below is a look at some of the athletes to watch throughout the day in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

USA Athletes to watch on Friday, July 23

The first day of archery preliminary rounds will get started on Friday, and the top American to watch is Brady Ellison. He will enter Olympics competition at No. 1 in the world rankings. On the women’s side, Casey Kaufhold is just 17 years old and figures to be a huge star in the sport for years to come.

The rowing competitions will also begin on Friday in Tokyo with the heats in men’s and women’s single, double and quadruple sculls. On the men’s team, Austin Hack finished fourth in Rio in 2016 and will look to reach the podium. Meghan Musnicki is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and at age 38, she will be a very accomplished, experienced rower on the women’s team.
