She’s the massive favorite to win the all-around event.
Skateboarding takes to the Olympic program for the first time, as Nyjah Huston leads a team of three Americans in the men’s street event from Ariake Park. Both qualifying and the final will take place on the same day, and this will be the first-ever gold medal awarded in the sport. For so many that grew up on the sport as a counterculture place of rebellion, it will come full-circle on Sunday.
Team USA men’s basketball is one of the biggest question marks heading into Tokyo, and they’ll get one of their toughest tests of the Games against France to open pool play. The USA are 12-point favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook, and are -850 on the moneyline.
And if you’re looking for an event that’s a bit off the board to watch: The women’s 10 meter air pistol preliminaries and finals take place at the Asaka shooting range, with Americans Sandra Uptagrafft and Alexis Lagan amongst the 55 competitors. Each shooter will fire 60 times in the preliminaries, with the top eight heading to the Final.
